I have been a WordPress user since before version 1.0. Early on, I became a fan of Chris Pearson’s themes, and when he put out Thesis, I saw the future of advanced WordPress theming.

I bought a developer license and began using it for everything. It was the theme that I suggested to clients, friends, family and others. It stopped people from having to code to be able to set up their theme and personalize it a bit.

Soon after, I jumped on board, and with the help of a variety of people and circumstances, I was part of the creation of WPUnlimited, a premium WordPress theme that was all about integrating plugin features into a WordPress theme. As far as I know, WPUnlimited was one of the first themes that allowed users to quickly and easily control header images, long before it was a feature integrated directly into WordPress.

Since then, I have been using a variety of themes from the amazing site ThemeForest, where I can get a theme with a high quality of design, and using the now built-in features of WordPress 3.0, I have been able to quickly customize these themes to fit my own needs as well as those of my clients.

Now, with the sites I’ve been launching over the last few weeks, I have finally decided to try Headway, a theme highly recommended by all of my friends, and high level WordPress users. If you are looking for a quickly customizable theme, you should definitely check out Headway.

I will be doing longer form reviews of each of these themes as I go forward on developing this site. At the end of the day though, I don’t see why people suffer and struggle with free themes when they can cheaply purchase high-quality WordPress themes that will save hours of effort, confusion and frustration.
